It can't be spring already?

The Kandersteg Blog has come to a temporary halt, but I will get back to it this afternoon with part three. The hold  up has been due to much time spent online arranging places to stay during our annual tour of France (note how I deliberately avoided copying the name of a famous cycle race). There was also a brief interlude in the weather that enabled us to get out walking and the pictures below are evidence of that enjoyable Monday morning in the woods and lanes, just to the North of Coniston.

The lane that goes around the back of High Yewdale Farm and Yewtree Farm. Not the brightest of starts to the day, but the sun started to come through and it felt like the first note of spring was in the air.

Yewtree Farm. Much photographed and very picturesque. Some nice warm light catching the fells behind the farm.

Looking down the Yewdale Valley from High Arnside.

Another, similar view down Yewdale.

Returning down the Hodge Close road alongside Tilberthwaite Beck.
