Coniston on a perfect winter's morning.

Just a short walk in the Coniston area this morning after a cold night and a hard frost. We did one of our regulars, with a slight deviation to take in a close look at the lake. The lake is simply stunning when it's as calm as it was this morning, take a look....

Walking is very enjoyable, but when you come across a seat like this, on a morning like this, well it would be ungrateful not too.

This pair of swans were feeding on the lake and headed up the small stream known as School Beck, I wonder if they are looking for a nesting site.
