My personal diary of walking in The Lake District, travels in France and Switzerland. Much of the walking is on the fells and mountains around Coniston, Langdale and Keswick areas. I am a keen photographer of Landscapes and nature, which includes wild flowers, butterflies and other animals that I spot on our walks. I am a member of The National Trust, Cumbria Wildlife Trust and the RSPB.

Blea Tarn
Some days are walking days and we take our Lumix cameras which are nice and light to carry on a long walk. The Lumix gives excellent flexibility and fantastic quality, all in a small, portable package. Then some days, like today, we get the urge to do some 'proper photography' with our Nikon cameras. Today was one such day, so we drove up to Blea Tarn and waited for the light. Thee light wasn't brilliant, it was quite variable and it changed quickly, apart from when it was poor and then it stayed like that for ages. but when the light did improve, this is what I got...
